What to Check on a Used Camper Van

  • The van underneath. Chassis year, engine, drivetrain and mileage, from the listing and the title.
  • The build sheet. What the conversion includes: the electrical system, water, heat, the bed and the galley. Every Titan listing shows its build specification.
  • Known faults. Where we know of wear or a fault, our listing says so in a Condition Disclosure, part by part, with close-up photos. Ask for the same on any van you consider.
  • See it in person. Arrange a visit by appointment and run every system before you buy.

Questions

Used or New: Questions

Is it better to buy a used camper van or convert a new one?

Buy used if you want to travel this season at a price you can see today and a layout that already suits you. Convert new if you want to choose the van, the layout and every option, with a warranty that starts on your delivery day. A new Titan conversion starts at $44,995 for the conversion alone, on a van you supply.

Is a used camper van cheaper than a new conversion?

Usually, but compare like for like: a used van's price includes the van, while a new Titan conversion, from $44,995 to $99,995 (2026 model year), is for the build alone and the van is bought separately. Every used listing shows its price, chassis year and mileage on its card.

Does the Titan warranty transfer to a second owner?

No. The Titan Vans conversion warranty, 3 years or 36,000 miles, covers the original buyer and is non-transferable. Ask us about any individual listing.

Can I finance a used camper van?

Ask us. Whether a pre-owned van qualifies, and on what terms, is up to the lender, so tell us which listing you are looking at and we will check with our lending partners. A new build can be financed through the same partners.

Can you convert a used van I already own?

Yes. Titan builds on the van you supply, new or used, as long as it is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 or 170 or a Ford Transit 148 or 148 EL. Tell us about yours and we will confirm how a build fits it.

Do you take trade-ins?

Ask us. Tell us about the van you would trade when you contact us about a listing or a build, and we will tell you what we can do.
