The Classic 148 is Titan Vans' Ford Transit camper van, built on the Transit's 148" wheelbase, regular-length, high roof chassis. The high roof gives you a van you can stand up in, and the 148" wheelbase leaves room for a Bi-Slide Aluminum Bed Platform that telescopes and lifts out, wheel well cabinets for storage and a galley connection point ready for the optional kitchen. It's a straightforward, modular Transit 148 conversion for couples who like to bring people along — room for the grandkids or good friends, and a layout you can refine as your plans change. It seats up to 7, sleeps up to 6, is built on the rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive Transit you supply, and is built by hand in Boulder, Colorado. Ford Transit 148 High Roof Camper Layout
Here's how the Classic 148 layout uses the Transit's interior, front to back. Behind the cab, the living area floor carries recessed floor l-track, so seating is yours to arrange: the options include a 2-Person Bench Seat, a Single Person Seat and swivel cab seats. A galley connection point waits on the driver side for the Galley (Kitchen) option ($5,995), and an extended floor step with a cubby sits at the slider door.
Wheel well cabinets run down both sides: the passenger side houses the electrical system and three large cubbies, the driver side the plumbing and storage. At the rear, the Bi-Slide Aluminum Bed Platform carries a 76" by 67" mattress; one half slides into the other to free the floor, the whole frame lifts out for cargo, and under-bed load lights brighten the garage below it.
Standard, it sleeps up to 6 and seats up to 7, depending on the seating and sleeping options you choose.

The Transit 148 high roof is one of the most popular camper chassis for good reason: the tallest roof Ford offers, all-wheel drive available from the factory, a gas engine that any Ford dealer can service, and a choice of regular or extended length. The 148" regular length (235.5 in) is the easier one to park and drive every day; the extended length (263.9 in) adds about 28 inches of body, and on it the same layout becomes the Classic 148 EL, which seats up to 9.

The regular length: the Classic 148 is built on the Ford Transit 148-inch wheelbase, high roof, in its standard 235.5-inch length. The same layout on the 263.9-inch extended-length Transit is the Classic 148 EL, from $51,995.
Is the Classic 148 available with AWD?
Yes. You supply the Transit, and Ford offers it in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; the Classic 148 is built on either as it is. The off-road, wheel and tire, and skid plate packages are among the options on this page.
