Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144" Trailhead
The Metis 148 is Titan Vans' 2026 Ford Transit camper van for people who travel four-up. Built on the Transit 148" wheelbase, high roof, regular length, it seats up to 4, sleeps up to 6 with its double Murphy bed and the sleeping options, and keeps a full galley for the road: an induction cooktop, a large sink, an Isotherm drawer fridge and an Avonite countertop, with a fold-down exterior table for cooking outside. Every Metis 148 is built in Boulder, Colorado. The conversion starts at $79,995; the van is not included. It is one of our Ford Transit van conversions.
Seats four
A Ford Transit Camper Van That Seats Four
Most camper vans seat two. The Metis 148 seats up to 4: the two cab seats, plus the rear couch at the front of the living space on the driver's side, with storage built in underneath and a Lagun Table that swings out for meals and swings away when you want the floor. The optional 2-Person Folding Bed Seat ($3,995) replaces the couch and table with a bench that converts to a one-person bed, 33.85 by 73.23 inches.
At camp, the double Murphy bed drops down to its 80" x 61" mattress on a self-supporting strap system with no legs, leaving 36.5 inches of clear space beneath it for bikes and gear. Stowed, it opens up the garage.
Layout
Metis 148 Floor Plan
Day mode: the couch and Lagun table up front for four around a meal, the galley opposite with its countertop, cooktop, sink and drawer fridge, driver side cabinets and wheel well cabinets for storage, and the 5-gallon cassette toilet, which can be mounted in several places to suit you.
Night mode: the Murphy bed down across the rear, the garage beneath it lit by under-bed load lights. The High Roof Pop Top option adds a second sleeping floor for two adults ($22,495).

Questions
Metis 148 FAQ
How many people does the Metis 148 seat and sleep?
The Metis 148 seats up to 4 and sleeps up to 6, depending on the sleeping options you choose. The standard double Murphy bed has an 80" x 61" mattress; the options include the High Roof Pop Top, designed to sleep two adults up top, and a 2-Person Folding Bed Seat that converts to a one-person bed.
Can I buy the Metis 148 as a DIY kit?
No. The Metis 148 is built only as a complete conversion in Boulder, Colorado. If you want to build a Ford Transit camper yourself, our sister brand Timber Van Kits makes DIY camper van conversion kits for the Transit.
What is the difference between the Metis 148 and the Metis 144?
The chassis. The Metis 148 is built on the Ford Transit 148-inch wheelbase, a gas-engined Ford that any Ford dealer can service, from $79,995; the Metis 144 is the same Murphy bed, couch and galley layout on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144, from $74,995. Both seat up to 4 and sleep up to 6.
How much does the Metis 148 cost?
The Metis 148 conversion starts at $79,995 for the 2026 model year. The van is not included: you supply the Ford Transit 148, and options are priced on top. Design Your Van starts from the Metis 148 and adds each option as you choose it.
Which model year is the Metis 148 built for?
The 2026 model year. We build on the Transit you supply, so a recent earlier-year Transit 148 high roof works too; tell us which van you have or are considering and we will confirm the fit.
