Every Metis is designed and built in-house in Boulder, Colorado, with a double Murphy bed, a two-person couch and outdoor kitchen access as standard. It starts at $158,395 with the van included. Layout
Metis 144 Floor Plan
The Metis 144 layout puts the two-person couch at the front of the living space, on the driver's side, with storage built in underneath and a Lagun table that swings out of the way when you want the floor. The galley, with an induction cooktop, a large sink, an Isotherm drawer fridge and an Avonite countertop, opens to the outside, and a fold-down exterior table turns it into an outdoor kitchen.
In the rear, the double Murphy bed, with its 80" x 61" mattress, hangs from a self-supporting strap system with no legs, leaving 36.5 inches of clear space beneath it for bikes and gear; stowed, it opens up the garage. The 5-gallon cassette toilet can be mounted in several places to suit you.
That arrangement gives you a lounge by day and a real bed at night, on the shorter of the two Sprinter wheelbases we build on.

Who the Metis 144 Is For
Choose the Metis 144 if you want a lounge by day and a real bed by night without the length of a 170" van. It's built for couples who travel at an easy pace — a comfortable lounge by day, a comfy bed by night, and an outdoor kitchen for hosting.
It's a fit for cooking and eating outdoors, with the galley opening to the outside, and for anyone who carries bikes or bulky gear: there's 36.5 inches of clear space under the Murphy bed, and the garage opens up when it's stowed.
Compare
Metis 144 vs. Other Sprinter 144 Builds

The Classic 144 (from $129,395) uses a Bi-Slide Bed, seats up to 7 and offers the galley as an option, while the Ultra 144 (from $169,995) pairs a Bi-Slide Bed with an interior shower that doubles as a sauna. Each price includes the van.
