: The Sprinter 144 Camper Van With a Shower

The Ultra 144 is Titan's Sprinter 144 camper van with a full indoor shower. It packs a hot shower that doubles as a sauna, a 5-gallon cassette toilet and a 22-gallon wheel well water tank into a van short enough to park in town, with a Bi-Slide Aluminum Bed Platform, a two-person couch and a full galley. It is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144" high roof, in rear-wheel drive, 4x4 or AWD, with a Victron 200 Ah Li-Ion Battery and a 330 Watt Solar Panel as standard for time off-grid. Every Ultra 144 is hand-built in Boulder, Colorado; it starts at $169,995 with the van included.

Fitting a shower into a 144" Sprinter is all about layout. In the Ultra 144, the interior shower (teak floor mat) is an expandable stall for more upper-body room, with stainless steel fixtures and L-Track inside; the furnace has a second vent in it, so it doubles as a drying room or a sauna. Hot water comes from a 4-gallon electric water heater fed by the 22-gallon wheel well water tank, and the 9-gallon gray water system takes the runoff. That leaves room for the 80" x 61" mattress on the Bi-Slide bed and the galley, so you don't trade the kitchen for the bathroom.

Every Sprinter 144 we build also has a rear utility spray-down shower with pressure and temperature controls and a retractable 7-foot hose, for outdoor showers and rinsing gear. The indoor shower is the Ultra's alone.
