You can buy a camper van from a builder's pre-built inventory, a builder's pre-owned stock, a custom build-to-order slot, an RV dealer, or a private seller. A pre-built van from a builder is the fastest route, because it is finished and ready to drive.

Current examples include a 2026 Classic 144 on a Sprinter at $137,948 and a 2026 Ultra 170 at $189,204, plus Timber-built Transit and ProMaster vans. Our pre-owned vans currently list from about $50,000 for a high-mileage 2017 Sprinter 144 4x4 to about $155,000 for a 2024 Metis 144 with 22,300 miles. Before you buy any used camper van

Ask for the RVIA seal and builder name. See what the seal means.

Get service records for both the chassis and the living systems.

Check mileage against engine type. Older Sprinters use a different diesel than current ones.
