What a Camper Van Conversion Costs in 2026
Here's Titan's actual model pricing, what moves the number most, and a sample all-in total.
A professional camper van conversion costs $45,000 to $100,000+ for the build itself in 2026 — that's the conversion only, not the van underneath it. Add the chassis, and an all-in finished camper typically lands between $95,000 and $200,000, depending on model tier, chassis, and options.
Most of what's published online about this number is vague on purpose, or written by insurance and UK sites with no US builder pricing at all. Here's what it actually breaks down to, with real figures.
The van, separately
Titan builds on Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit, and neither is included in conversion pricing — you either supply your own or we source one for you. As of early October 2026, bare chassis pricing looks roughly like this:
| Chassis | Configuration | Approx. MSRP |
|---|---|---|
| Ford Transit | 148" cargo, base | ~$50,800–$57,900 |
| Sprinter 2500 | 144" high roof | ~$52,500–$53,100 |
| Sprinter 2500 | 170" high roof | ~$57,500 |
| Sprinter 2500 AWD | 144"/170" high roof | ~$60,500–$67,200 |
These move with incentives and dealer stock, so treat them as planning figures, not quotes.
Titan's conversion pricing
Three model families, each available on Sprinter 144", Sprinter 170", Transit 148", and Transit 148" EL. Published starting prices, conversion only:
| Model | Sprinter 144" | Sprinter 170" | Transit 148" | Transit 148" EL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | $44,995 | $49,995 | $46,995 | $51,995 |
| Metis | $74,995 | $85,995 | $79,995 | $90,995 |
| Ultra | $88,995 | $99,995 | - | - |
Classic is our modular, build-to-order conversion — seats up to 9, fully removable components, upgradeable later. Metis adds a double Murphy bed, two-person couch, and outdoor kitchen access. Ultra is the top tier: Bi-Slide bed, shower/sauna, outdoor kitchen access, Sprinter only.
What actually moves the price
Model tier is the biggest lever. Jumping from Classic to Metis is roughly a $30,000 difference before you've touched a single option.
Wheelbase adds a consistent premium — about $5,000 more for the Sprinter 170" or Transit 148" EL over the shorter length, across every tier.
Off-road suspension is the next-biggest swing. A Van Compass package starts around $4,500; a full Agile Offroad Factory Race build runs closer to $20,000.
Windows, bumpers, and electrical upgrades stack from there. A CR Laurence bunk window runs under $2,000; a Flatline bumper with Warn winch integration and skid plates can add $5,000–$8,000; a dual-alternator or inverter upgrade runs $2,500–$3,000 each.
A sample all-in total
Sprinter 144" high roof chassis (~$53,000) + Classic conversion ($44,995) + a Van Compass suspension package (~$4,500) + CRL bunk windows (~$1,800) lands around $104,000 all-in. Move to a Metis on the same chassis with the same options and you're closer to $134,000.
